Learn to lead your team more equitably through inclusive leadership training

Inclusive leadership is not an add-on module for modern leadership. It is the leadership we need if we want to offer fairer and more equitable processes in companies. In a working world that is becoming more complex, diverse and international, managers need new skills.

This is exactly where our inclusive leadership training comes in: scientifically sound, intersectionally thought-out and close to practice. We teach leadership that not only tolerates differences, but utilizes them. Fair leadership doesn’t just happen, it happens through courageous, reflective, bias-conscious, power-critical and empathetic leadership.

What is inclusive leadership?

Inclusive managers question themselves and their prejudices about others. They recognize the power of their position and use it responsibly. They promote diversity of perspectives in the team. And they can withstand contradictions because they know: Innovation comes from friction, not harmony. In our inclusive leadership training, we make this attitude tangible and show what leadership needs today: Curiosity, humility, courage, allyship, empowerment and taking responsibility.

“Companies that want to be at the cutting edge need inclusive leadership. A must-have for innovative strength.

After our inclusive leadership training, you will know

how to establish inclusive leadership as an integral part of your leadership role

how to become more aware of your unconscious assumptions and critically reflect on your position of power

how to strengthen psychological safety as a basis for innovation and commitment

Your in-house inclusive leadership training

In a safe space, together with your colleagues, you will reflect on where inclusive leadership succeeds and where it (still) fails. We work with examples from your reality, show you the scope for action and encourage honest discussion. The training is intensive, effective and anything but generic. Afterwards you will have clarity, attitude and concrete tools.

Paula’s main areas of focus are anti-discrimination, social justice, diversity awareness, solidarity/accompliceship and anti-racist work with white people. It is important to Paula to work holistically: She acts in a process-oriented, appreciative, decelerated and mindful way. Artistic and creative methods that bring our embodied knowledge and feelings into play make the workshops versatile, varied and appeal to different types of learners.

Selena’s expertise lies in the areas of unconscious bias, inclusive recruitment, inclusive teams and change agent support. She specializes in HR processes, working in the film, media and television industry and lectures at German and Dutch universities.

Selena attaches great importance to recognizing personal scope for action in order to create self-determined inclusive change in the team and processes. In training sessions, it is important to her to work in an appreciative manner and to incorporate the personal experiences and strengths of the participants.

“I really liked the setup of the workshop and the way of making us reflecting. Floria gave us some good starting points for fighting against biases and I now have a better idea how to improve on these fields.”

Frequently asked questions about inclusive leadership training

What is special about your inclusive leadership training?

  1. We have the necessary in-depth training and years of experience in navigating people through this sensitive topic. It is definitely not enough to be affected by discrimination yourself or just to know the subject well. You need didactics! You can get that from us.
  2. We combine the latest findings from leadership research with in-depth consulting experience on diversity, inclusion and intersectional justice.
  3. We offer our Inclusive Leadership Training for more advanced groups. If your managers have never reflected on privilege before and have no prior knowledge of unconscious bias, we recommend our Unconscious Bias Learning Journey as a basic module. Feel free to ask us, we will advise you on what makes sense.

How is your training structured?

The Inclusive Leadership Training consists of a five- to six-hour module that we can customize. It begins with self-leadership (lead inward), recognizing one’s own position of power, developing an inner attitude and the courage to face uncertainty. This is followed by outward leadership (lead outward), with a focus on team responsibility, empowerment and allyship. Practice-oriented and practical with examples that we discuss together. It is ideal if your managers have already completed our learning journey on unconscious bias. Feel free to write to me for a preliminary discussion about the challenges your company faces with the topic of inclusive leadership.

What results can we expect from inclusive leadership training?

Participants gain a clear understanding of inclusive leadership processes: What it means to develop the inner work and attitude and at the same time to change the structures and external leadership. In short, they learn leadership that is fit for the 21st century.

How do we measure success?

We work with qualitative feedback methods and, at your request, also with anonymized before-and-after surveys and optional impact indicators such as psychological safety or inclusion climate in the team. We also offer follow-up formats. Let us clarify what makes sense for you in a preliminary discussion.

Can it be done in two hours?

We want to talk to each other in depth. That takes time. Our training therefore lasts at least five hours including breaks, ideally also as an offsite for one or two whole days. We can discuss dividing the training into two periods. I am also happy to come to you for a 60-minute impulse. Have a look at my presentation page. I have already collected top-class references as a speaker, from activist organizations to DAX companies.

Our managers are not yet fully convinced, but they need to be. What can we do?

Resistance is normal, especially when it comes to issues relating to behavior, attitude and power structures. Many managers initially believe that they are already acting fairly and inclusively. That’s why we don’t pick anyone up with guilt, but with relevance, clarity and practical depth. Our modules are finely tuned so that we can offer content for all learning levels. Sometimes even with Trojan horses. It is therefore best to ask us for an individual preliminary talk, where we can clarify your questions.
